1. Clinic Assistant
Position: Clinic Assistant
Qualification/Requirement: OND in Community Ophthalmic Technician (COT)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily clinic operations.
- Conduct preliminary eye examinations and gather patient history.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
- Support eye care professionals during examinations and treatments.
- Administer diagnostic tests as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate patients on eye care procedures and medication usage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of OND in Community Ophthalmic Technician (COT).
- Previous healthcare or similar role experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and eye care procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
2. Ophthalmic Nurse
Position: Ophthalmic Nurse
Qualifications/Requirements:
Registered Nurse:
- Valid nursing license.
- Proficiency in nursing practices and ethical standards.
- Up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations.
Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing:
- Completion of a recognized Diploma program in Ophthalmic Nursing.
- Specialized training in ophthalmic care procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye assessments and screenings.
- Administer and monitor ophthalmic medications.
- Assist in eye surgeries and medical procedures.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and eye health practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure a safe and sterile clinic environment.
- Collaborate with the eye care team for quality patient care.
Qualities and Skills:
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
